The most common questions I get from women in my practice are, “Why is this so hard? What is wrong with me?” It’s normal to feel nervous in anticipation of taking the best care of your newborn, and there is nothing wrong with that. But it isn’t easy!

As a family doctor, perinatal psychotherapist, and a mom of two, I have discovered predictable pitfalls, problems, and internal conflicts that come up during motherhood.
